Eureka Moment
Another one in the can! If I keep up at this rate, I’ll be back to pre-covid numbers before you know it. The flow is still sluggish while creating the strip. My momentum isn’t where it should be and I feel like I’m trudging through a foggy swamp after waking from a coma, but I’m starting to have fun again and feeling excited about where the story’s going to take me in the future. A few more strips and I should be back in the zone and feeling that mojo once again. I hope you’ll stick around.
Have a good rest of the week, folks and I’ll see you here soon!
Jim
Woohoo! It’s like manna from heaven, another comic. Whoa, whoa, whoa, Kevin. Settle down, you don’t want to jinx it. Or scare young Jim with being over enthusiastic.
Actually, it’s very cool there’s another comic. It’s also exciting that you have a grasp on getting and keeping your mojo. This should be fun and exciting and a joy. Putting too much pressure on yourself will take that away. I read another comic that the artist does that, they’ll do 3-4 strips a week for a couple of months and it becomes too much. Then there’s a couple of weeks to months lull. I personally would rather have 1 strip a week consistently with scheduled breaks and vacations. It’s like weekly little gifts that can be savored.
Haha, thanks, Kevin! I appreciate the enthusiasm for sure! You’re absolutely right, I did let the comic overwhelm me to the extent that I ended up taking a hiatus that turned out to be a little longer than I expected. Now I’m just going to take it easy and let it flow and not put too much pressure on myself. I did a weekly for years and that seems to be the right schedule for me. I’m excited to get back to it!
