Meteoric Flashback

Our story continues as Flannery begins to tell a story of long ago. Only it’s a story that Trudy doesn’t seem too impressed with. I hope that you enjoy this quickie flashback. Heck, with this flashback within a flashback sequence, you’d think that I was writing Casablanca here! Sorry I didn’t get one out to you sooner as I promised, but it’s just in time for the regular Monday schedule.
Let me know that you’re out there an leave me a comment in the space below.
Have a great week – Jim
Well, if my degree in comicbook physics is worth anything, one of two things will happen:
A: The radiation from the meteor fragment will weaken the bearer, causing loss of all enhanced abilities, and mystic powers. Also, all their hair may fall out, and a long term visit to the local hospital may be in order. Less then ideal.
B: The strange properties of the pendant unlock previously unknown and possibly archane abilities in the bearer, potentially remaining even after the pendant has been removed. Nifty.
Of course, it could just be a cool necklace, and Uncle Flannery is hoping it will have a placebo effect. Less nifty, but more cunning.
Or
C) They are bitten by a squirrel and acquire the powers of a squirrel (immunity to nut allergy even unto the 300th generation, ability to climb trees, ability to sleep for 6 months straight…) 😉
Or D) it could be that…oops that would be telling 😉
You could always claim it to be the World’s first “puzzle webcomic” Jim. 😀
I would like to claim to be the worlds first Cosplay webcomic, but I don’t think thats true.
“You’re different.” “I’m the same person.” “She could be right, this might help.”
It gives you different person detection. Or lets you remember who you really are. Or bestows you with super-cosplay powers that let you become a different person…
OK, I’ll stop guessing now.
Don’t we all wear different masks throughout the course of our day?
We never really show the world who we really are at heart.
The super-cosplay powers you mentioned intrigue me though, khelatar. I wonder what that kind of ability would entail? Anyone remember Dial H for Hero over at DC comics back in the day?
Giving cosplayers actual superhero powers sounds dangerous… I was thinking more along the lines of totally adapting a personality / mannerisms / maybe looks.
“Wow, how did you make those Popeye arms?! Silicone?”
“Ahm usin’ no silly-cone boy, ah been eatin’ my spinach y’see.”
“Of course…”
I was also thinking perhaps getting some skills associated with the cosplayed character, though that would suggest Agnes could actually *fight* like Sonya…
Aw yeah 🙂 I get you khelatar. That’s brilliant!
Or even better yet following a Skyrim/Warcraft vibe, she could have the ability to conjure the raw materials for a costume she has to make and summon a bound sewing machine to put it all together while enchanting each piece she makes with some arcane power.
At least there isn’t a slideshow, full of unknown relatives, to bore her even more.
Hmmm, come to think about it, Bill, that might not be a bad idea. I wonder who some of her relatives might have been?
