Two People Sitting in a Room

That’s all I kept telling myself…”Just draw two people sitting in a room. Easy!” Arrggghh! Why is drawing two people sitting in a room so difficult. For one thing, I didn’t want it to be boring, so I had to make it look dramatic somehow. I also wanted to convey to the readers what kind of man Flannery Quirk was and how he might have led his life up to this point. And I had to keep Sonya’s story moving forward and try to learn as to why she’s shown up on her Uncles doorstep. Just two people sitting in a room…Simple, right? Right!
I’m going to waylay the Sword and Sorcery cover tonight cause it’s late, I’m tired and this strip has been a hell of a go! Have a great week and I’ll see you right here next week – Jim
Love, love, love it! I want to know more of this Flannery Quirk 🙂
Careful what you wish for 😉
Could have been simple — but what this *really* is, is a visual guide to the character and background of Flannery Quirk. Plus two people sitting there. 😉
And then there’s that superhero costume…
There’s a super suit, khelatar?!
Oh yes, so there is 😉
It would seem there is more to our Mr. Quirk then his lumberjackesque appearance would belie.
I approve.
Also, as an admirer of antique firearms, I would like to sugest that the revolver on Mr. Quirk’s shelf is a .577 Tranter. A sutably exotic and powerful firearm for a man such as Flannery Quirk.
You just might be correct in that educated guess, balthazar. I haven’t had a chance to talk to the man himself as Flannery is a notoriously private man and difficult to track down, but I did a bit of research after reading your post and it certainly seems a distinct possibility that that is a .577 Tranter “Manstopper” double action revolver sitting on Flannery Quirk’s shelf. Thanks for the keen eye 🙂
